Daniel didn’t move for a second. Then slowly, he walked toward her. “Do I know you?” he asked. She smiled softly. “Not yet.” He sat down, unsure why he even did it. Something about her felt… different. They started talking. Simple things at first. Where they were from. What they did. But within minutes, it felt like they had skipped years of conversation. Like they were catching up, not introducing themselves. At one point, she leaned closer and said, “Have you ever felt like you met someone at the wrong time?” He froze. Because that question hit deeper than it should have. “Yes,” he admitted. She looked into his eyes and whispered, “What if this is the right time?” Silence fell between them. Not awkward. Just heavy… with something real. He didn’t know what to say. But for the first time in years, he didn’t want to leave. And neither did she.
