He followed the path she always took, deeper into a part of the neighborhood no one really talked about. The streetlights flickered, and the air felt colder with every step. Then he saw her standing at the end of a narrow alley, completely still. He called out, but she didn’t respond. As he got closer, he realized something was wrong… her feet weren’t touching the ground. Just as he froze in fear, she slowly lifted her arm and pointed behind him. He turned around—and saw himself standing at the entrance of the alley, watching everything. When he looked back at her, she was gone.
